Hazwoper or Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard has set down certain standards and procedures for dealing with exposure to hazardous materials and waste. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration mandates that all workers should be trained for performing these duties safely without endangering themselves and others. As per OSHA, some training requirements can be met by online training courses. At the same time, it makes clear that although it may be a valuable training tool, an exclusive online program fails to meet most of the training requirements.
